Overview

In its impactful second phase, the Ctrl + Shift + Empower initiative conducted a series of workshops and multi-stakeholder consultations across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Hyderabad, and Madhya Pradesh, focusing on digital literacy, online safety, and responsible online behavior.

Engaging Young Minds

Over 1,000 students participated in 10 interactive workshops held in schools, including The Indian Heights School in Erode. Sessions emphasized:

Age-appropriate content and parental control tools
Online abuse prevention and screen-time awareness
Understanding content ratings on platforms like Netflix

Students asked thoughtful questions and shared digital experiences, while teachers explored how to integrate digital safety into everyday learning.

Expert Consultations That Matter

In four regional consultations, 86 stakeholders—including academics, government representatives, and child safety experts—came together to:

Identify gaps in policy and digital literacy implementation
Recommend tech-savvy counselors and digital wellness labs in schools
Call for regular training and stronger legal frameworks for child safety online

Shaping the Future

By combining grassroots workshops with high-level consultations, Ctrl + Shift + Empower has created a clear roadmap for safer, smarter digital ecosystems for children. Its insights and recommendations will guide future policy, curriculum, and platform interventions across India.
